Happy Monday!
Here is what we did today:
Math: Today we discussed rounding mixed numbers and subtracting decimals using zeros. Problem set 102 was assigned and is due on Tuesday.
Science: Today we discussed different types of motion.
Socials Studies: Today we had LEAD dealing with three different cases of city ordinances.
In Mrs. D's class we took our spelling unit 31 pretest. We began to read the excerpt in our reading book Dear Mr. Henshaw. We also went to the computer lab and the library. Ask your child what they have chosen to write their PhD report on. They received a checklist and a timeline on Friday.
In Mr. P's class we read chapters 4 and 5 in Brian's Winter and discussed. We also did some writing activities dealing with our story. We also did some work with colons and semi-colons. We had a worksheet on colons. We completed spelling 5 times each and workbook pages were assigned and we also took a spelling pretest. We also went to the library.
In Mr. H's class we began a new story today. We completed our introduction in spelling and will have a spelling pretest tomorrow. We discussed prepositions and prepositional phrases. We also finished our historical fiction writing activity.
