5th grade Teamwork

Happy February 1!

Here is what we did today:

Math: Today we discussed making equivalent fractions. Problem set 79 was assigned and is due on Friday.

Science: Today we graded our homework from yesterday and we discussed how and why plants grow. Test will be on Tuesday and a review sheet will be given tomorrow.

Social Studies: Today we read a follow-up to chapter number 5 in the old textbook pages 201-215.

In Mrs. D's class we went to the library. We turned in our spelling books and did an activity dealing with our spelling words. We also had a presentation from Mrs. K today dealing with bullying. Students are to be working on their rough drafts for our "Snow Day" paper.

In Mr. H's class we began a new book Snow Treasure. We graded our spelling workbook pages 122-125. We also worked on contractions and we did a writing activity.

In Mr. P's class we went to the library. We read My Side of the Mountain with a partner and answered questions 1-6 on page 666 as our quiz due tomorrow. We also started having conferencing about student writing. We also worked a little with conjunctions.
