Happy Monday!
Here is what we did today:
Math: Today we discussed perimeter, circumference, radius and diameter. Problem set 53 was assigned and is due on Tuesday.
Science: The tests from Friday was handed back for the students to take home and correct for partial credit. We also discussed the eight planets in our solar system. We will have a quiz over the eight planets in order on Tuesday.
Social Studies: Today we continued our Explorers discussion. Tomorrow we will have another workday on our Explorer report.
In Mrs. D's class we looked at our review list spelling workbook pages are due on Thursday. We talked about guide words and entry words in the dictionary. We also went to the computer lab and library.
In Mr. H's class we read chapters 15-16 in The City of Ember. We had a writing activity to complete. We also copied our spelling words and introduced the workbook for the review list.
In Mr. P's class we finished listening to Eye of the Strom and had a comprehension sheet for homework. We picked a person that we know a lot about and we started writing topic sentences for our new five paragraph paper! We took a spelling pretest and did five times each. We also worked on run on sentences.
