5th grade Teamwork

Happy Tuesday!

Here is what we did today:

Math: We continued long division. Problem set 26 was assigned and is due on Wednesday.

Science: We discussed and took notes on lesson 1 the oceans.

Social Studies: We continued our discussion of September 11. The students are really getting into the discussion.

In Mrs. D's class we discussed quotation marks. We had pages 25-29 assigned in spelling and we need to write the missed words three times each. We began discussing the vocabulary for our textbook story Michelle Kwan. We began reading the story in class together.

In Mr. H's class we took our spelling pretest. We also started working on our workbook pages 25-29. We continued to read the story Earthquake Terror. We also looked at some writing samples and discussed what makes a good essay.

In Mr. P's class we read the story Mae Jemison and practiced filling out an SQ4R sheet. We finished discussing helping verbs and we had an assignment on this topic. We finished publishing in the computer lab for those who needed to.
