Happy Festival Friday!
Here is what we did today:
Math: We did an activity in class dealing with fractions. The students did a good job with this activity and have a good base to start fractions. NO math HOMEWORK!
Science/Health. We did another vocabulary activity in class and we began reviewing for our test that will be next Friday.
Social Studies: We watched and discussed Across America an educational video dealing with the United States, regions, landforms and historical landmarks.
In Mrs. D's class we read chapter 16 in The City of Ember and we had comprehension questions to do. We took a vocabulary quiz over The City of Ember and the students were allowed to use their vocab notebooks to help them with the quiz. Some students are not writing down the vocabulary and they probably got a lower score on the quiz! We also turned in our Summer Vacation papers and some students chose to share their essay with the class. We also took our final spelling test
In Mr. P's class we took our final spelling test. We took a vocab and a comprehension test for the story LaBamba. We also played a game using action verbs. We finished our one on one conferencing and will be publishing on Tuesday.
In Mr. H's class we finished the Wish Giver in class today. We took our final spelling test for the week. We also did a paragraph correction sheet in class
