Happy Tuesday!
Here is what we did today:
Math: Some students continued to test to see where they should be placed. Other students worked on review topics of place value, rounding and addition of decimals.
Science: We worked on "Hero: How to improve my self-concept" papers.
Social Studies: We worked on vocabulary and we read pages 2-5 in our social studies book. Pages 6-10 should be read on their own to discuss tomorrow.
In Mrs. D's class we read chapters 5 and 6 in The City of Ember. We had some comprehension questions to answer. We will have a vocabulary quiz on Thursday over the words we have learned so far. Spelling pages 8-11 were assigned and are due on Thursday. Bonus speller should do page 13 and study those words. We also worked on prewriting our first essay.
In Mr. H's class we read the Wishgiver through page 62. We took our spelling pretest and the workbook pages are due on Thursday. We also did some journal writing.
In Mr. P's class We read the first part of "Michelle Kwan: Hear of a Champion. We went over vocab and fact and opinion. We worked on common pronouns worksheet 73 was assigned. For spelling, our pretest will be tomorrow and workbook pages 9 and 10 were assigned.
